8F Drafter

In Grand Theft Auto VI, the 8F Drafter has been identified only in an official Ambrosia screenshot. A black example appears at a distance, viewed from the rear as it travels along a major road in the region. No trailer timestamp, close-up promotional image, or GTA VI-specific specification is identified.

The confirmed GTA VI sighting establishes the returning model’s presence in Ambrosia, but the visible vehicle is too distant to confirm its available colours, wheels, modifications, or any changes from its earlier version.

The Drafter previously entered Grand Theft Auto Online with The Diamond Casino & Resort update and was sold immediately when that update launched. It was available through Legendary Motorsport for $718,000.

In Online, it is an Obey vehicle in the Sports class, built as a two-door coupe. It also appears during the aggressive approach to The Diamond Casino Heist when the front entrance is used, leaving the valet area.

Its main real-world reference is the 2018 Audi RS5 Coupe. The connected rear-light treatment differs from that car and instead also recalls the 2014 Audi TT Sportback Concept. The Drafter’s grille and nose treatment borrow from the 2015–2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, while its lamps resemble those of the FG X Ford Falcon.

The side shape shares cues with the BMW M4 CS, F82 generation, including the line running rearward from the taillamp area toward a side vent. Its rear bumper and exhaust arrangement likewise resemble the M4 CS. The engine model resembles a Mercedes-Benz M113 Kompressor, while the cabin is based on Chevrolet Corvette C7 styling.

The GTA Online Drafter uses an apparent V8 with a six-speed transmission. Its engine sits at the front, and power is sent to all four wheels with a stated 40:60 front-to-rear distribution. Its loud engine note is compared with that of the Schlagen GT.

Among Sports-class cars, the Drafter is described as especially strong under acceleration and braking, despite giving up some maximum speed. Its handling is said to approach that of certain Super-class vehicles. The 9F and Tailgater are named as design relatives: the Drafter combines their modern Obey styling with a more performance-focused rear end.

The standard bodywork includes a front splitter, rear diffuser, four exhaust outlets, and a raised lip at the back of the boot. LED headlamps are fitted. It uses split five-spoke wheels with forked spoke ends and smaller supplementary spokes. The body receives the primary paint colour; the lower splitter and cabin stitching use the secondary colour.

Its dedicated Super2 interior originated with the Specter and is otherwise closely shared with the Dominator GTX. Compared with those interiors, the Drafter adds a vented dashboard section below the windscreen, and the Obey emblem appears on the steering-wheel horn pad. A Racing The Edge livery references Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed: Carbon.

Several Online model issues are recorded. The front and rear indicators do not operate, although indicator areas are visibly modelled; the front units also resist damage. The rear plate lamp is fixed to the chassis rather than the boot, so it remains behind when the boot opens or detaches. Val De Grace was removed from the livery selection, preventing new application, although cars already carrying it retain it until another livery is chosen.
