The US PlayStation store says “1 player” and “Remote Play supported.” Remote Play is not crossplay. The US Xbox store says “Single player” and lists “Xbox cloud saves.” Those saves are not a PlayStation-to-Xbox transfer. No GTA 6 online mode is announced, so no crossplay mode is announced either. A missing line is not a forever no.

That list is the US PlayStation store product page for the Standard Edition, read October 5, 2026. “1 player” and “Remote Play supported” sit with “Offline play enabled.” The description says Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience. None of those lines name a second player on another platform.
Remote Play is Sony’s way to stream your own console. It is not a match between PlayStation and Xbox, and it is not a co-op mode. Whether that chip is cloud gaming stays on the cloud guide. The capabilities block is the same five lines the accessibility guide already quotes, read again October 5, 2026. “Xbox cloud saves” is one of them. The page does not say a save leaves the Xbox account, and it does not list online multiplayer. “Play with” names Xbox Series X|S only.

What this page will not turn into a feature
Competitor pages either treat the missing line as a permanent ban, or treat two current-generation consoles as proof that crossplay is likely. This page does neither. Take-Two’s September 17, 2026 shareholder meeting said the November 19 release is a single-player title on Xbox and PlayStation 5, with no recurrent spending anticipated for this launch, and with GTA V Online continuing. That meeting did not date a GTA 6 online mode. The launch-mode answer stays on is multiplayer in GTA 6.
Older Rockstar games are not a forecast. This page does not claim crossplay is more feasible because only two consoles are announced, and it does not claim a later online mode will or will not include it.
PC is still unannounced, so a three-way console-and-PC crossplay question has nothing to attach to. That answer stays on the PC guide.
