Is there multiplayer or GTA Online in GTA 6?
The direct answer
No online mode is part of the November 19, 2026 launch. Take-Two says GTA 6 ships as a single-player title on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. A GTA 6 online mode has not been announced.
At Take-Two’s annual shareholder meeting on September 17, 2026, CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company is launching GTA VI on November 19 as a single-player title on Xbox and PlayStation 5, and that no recurrent consumer spending is anticipated for this launch. He said GTA V Online continues to be supported. He did not announce a GTA 6 online mode or a date for one.
GTA Online arrived after GTA 5, and Red Dead Online arrived after Red Dead Redemption 2, so a later GTA 6 online mode is a reasonable expectation. That is series history, not a Rockstar date. Press guesses, including a 2027 window, are not an announcement.
