Elegy Retro Custom

Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer shows the Elegy Retro Custom at 0:45 in Crosstown, Vice City. The cars are parked at an intersection alongside a white Dominator ASP and a silver Penumbra. This trailer appearance is the specific confirmed GTA VI showing described so far.

The car combines cues from several Nissan Skyline GT-R generations rather than copying one model. Its general shape, side view and rear treatment draw chiefly from the R32 Skyline GT-R, while the nose is patterned after the R33. The headlamps blend R33 elements with R32 N1-style details.

The R34 contributes the roof profile, boot shape, rear bumper reversing lamps and much of the tail-light treatment. The lamp housings themselves combine R33 and R34 influences. Its six-cylinder engine recreates the Nissan RB26, while its wheels enlarge the Endo v.2 Dish design available at Los Santos Customs. Different customization choices can push its appearance closer to an individual Skyline generation.

In GTA Online, Annis sells the Elegy Retro Custom as a Sports-class conversion of the Elegy RH8, carried out at Benny’s Original Motor Works for $904,000. It presents an older, more realistic take on the earlier Elegy, which had appeared in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The Retro Custom also shares the Sultan RS interior, although its steering wheel carries Annis branding.

The conversion changes the RH8’s colour layout. Primary paint covers the bodywork and stitching on the seats and wheel, whereas the bonnet, roof and boot use the secondary paint. Separate trim and dial colours are available. The cabin can receive extra analogue instruments, digital readouts and switches. A strut brace is visible under the bonnet, and the car can use Endo v.2-style rims with their own colour setting.

Its front end has a broad central intake, a diagonally mounted number plate, squared side intakes and vertical vents near the wheel arches. The grille carries an Elegy badge, while the lamp clusters contain circular, square and triangular elements. At the rear, a ducktail sits above paired round red lamps; reverse lights flank the plate, and the bumper has exhaust openings and tow hooks.

Customization includes a Low Spoiler based on a real-world reference. Liveries include Not Tonight Pizzaboy, a Fast & Furious quotation reference; Midnight Racer, linked to the car driven by Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious; and Drift Missile, referring to disposable drift cars. Racing-themed schemes include Redwood Racing, LTD and Meinmacht. The Meinmacht number 23 plays on the Japanese reading of “Ni-San.” The Device logo on the left side skirt of the Not Tonight Pizzaboy livery is upside down.

The GTA Online model uses a twin-cam six-cylinder engine, a five-speed transmission and all-wheel drive. One quarter of the power goes to the front wheels, with the remainder sent rearward. It uses the same engine audio as the Elegy RH8. Since Los Santos Tuners, its timing belt and cam pulleys animate while idling and when the engine is revved.

Despite being slower than the original RH8, the Retro Custom remains competitive in the Sports class through acceleration and cornering, especially in tighter turns. It gives up speed on faster stretches to the RH8, Pariah and Schafter V12. During The Doomsday Heist’s Act II Strombergs Wrecked preparation, wrecked versions can be transported by Flatbeds or Wastelanders. It also appears in the After Hours Car Meet Business Battle, GTA Today II repo work, and the Los Santos Tuners Exotic Exports pool.
