The flatbed Trailer is a twin-axle towable platform from GTA V and GTA Online, complete with side guard rails and landing-gear stands, on which players can even ride while it moves. It is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
GTA VI record
Grand Theft Auto VI is listed as a future appearance for the Trailer, but no specific in-game sighting is identified. There is no documented trailer timestamp, screenshot, promotional image, regional location, or GTA VI gameplay detail for this vehicle.
Its confirmed GTA VI information is therefore limited to its planned presence. The described design, towing behaviour, traffic use, and technical data belong to Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online unless stated otherwise.
Utility-class catalogue entry
In GTA V and GTA Online, the Trailer is assigned to the Utility class and carries the body-type designation “Tractor Trailer.” No manufacturer, purchase cost, unlock requirement, selectable variant, upgrade package, or customization option is identified.
No particular real-world make or model is named as its basis. Its documented form is simply that of a medium flatbed intended to be drawn by another vehicle, rather than a self-propelled truck.
Approved towing vehicles
Game files identify six vehicles able to pull the Trailer: the Barracks Semi, Docktug, Hauler, Packer, Phantom, and Phantom Wedge. The list includes conventional highway tractors as well as the Docktug and the wedge-equipped Phantom.
The Trailer has no independent driving capability. Although it has a separate handling entry, it must be attached to a compatible towing vehicle before it can be moved under power.
Speed, size, and cargo
Its low mass and comparatively reduced aerodynamic resistance allow it to travel quickly for a trailer. It is shorter and narrower than the Army Trailer, so it occupies less space and has a less restrictive turning footprint than that larger comparison vehicle.
That smaller size does not remove the problems of narrow streets or sharp bends. The deck also does not secure cargo: vehicles or other loose items placed on it can slide away as the towing vehicle starts moving.
Traffic and mission roles
In GTA V, Trailer units can appear behind semi-trucks in ordinary traffic, especially on freeways. Parked examples may also be found at Terminal and in the Elysian Island area, where non-functional prop copies are present as well.
During “Monkey Business,” the container carrying the chemical weapon has to be placed on one of these flatbeds. In GTA Online’s “First Dose 2 - Designated Driver,” a truck is required to pull a supply-loaded Trailer for the Fooliganz before The Lost MC destroys it.
Handling-file mismatch
The Trailer uses the standard “TRAILER” handling line. This is unusual because the files also contain a “trflat” line, yet that more specifically named entry is not the one assigned to the flatbed.
While someone standing on the deck can remain aboard during travel, turns and the suspension’s movement can shift that person’s position, particularly when the trailer leans.
