The Tulip is a four-door muscle car from Declasse with 1970s blue-collar styling, released to GTA Online during the continuation of the Arena War update. The sedan-bodied bruiser is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Trailer sightings and locations
The Tulip appears during the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer in a getaway at 1:00 involving Lucia and Jason. At 1:10, it is shown leaving Port Gellhorn Pawn & Gun with the same pair. Port Gellhorn is therefore the named region in which the vehicle has been spotted.
A second-trailer shot at 2:33 shows it heading into the sunset among artificial islands near Vice City. These trailer appearances confirm the vehicle’s presence in GTA VI rather than only carrying over its earlier-game identity.
GTA VI body and cabin
The GTA VI model retains its earlier Chevelle-derived outline but adds finer physical detail. Visible changes include separate-looking panel and door seams, keyholes, a raised grille emblem, more chrome brightwork, developed B-pillars, bumper fasteners, side sills, underbody detail, replacement wheels, and a script Tulip badge on the passenger-side portion of the trunk.
It is fitted with a vinyl roof, rear-bumper decals, and a Xero sticker across the windscreen. Its finish is weathered, with wear visible on the metal sills, lamps, roof covering, and chrome. The first trailer also provides a close look at its new cabin: unique gauges, leatherette upholstery, revised door panels, reflective exterior and interior mirrors, and litter in the footwells.
Chevelle roots and influences
The primary real-world reference is the 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, especially its Sport Sedan, whose C-pillar shape informed the Tulip. GTA VI continues that basis and uses wheels resembling those fitted to 1971–72 Chevelle SS models. The rear “Tulip by Declasse” marking follows the period Chevelle-style “by” badging, in the same manner that the Declasse Vigero’s rear badge echoes Chevrolet Camaro branding.
The older GTA Online design also mixed in other American-car cues. Its rear treatment combines elements associated with the 1972 Oldsmobile 442 and 1970 Chevrolet Impala. The grille extension beyond the headlamps resembles that of the first Ford Granada, while its small front indicators and bumper recesses recall the 1967 Impala.
Online drivetrain and handling
In GTA Online, the Tulip is a Muscle-class vehicle with a front-mounted V8, rear-wheel drive, and a four-speed transmission. Its engine audio blends Dominator and Imperator sounds, with the Dominator note more apparent at higher revs. Adding a supercharger causes its bypass valves to operate audibly when the engine is revved, while suspension upgrades give the wheels negative camber.
The Online version is prone to wheelspin when pulling away. It can also become unsettled after jumps or over bumps, and hard cornering can provoke oversteer; its steering reacts sharply to small inputs. Its basic shape is compared with the Sabre Turbo and Stallion, while its cabin uses the Dominator interior.
Sales, jobs and known faults
The Tulip was once sold through Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $718,000, before its removal from that site in the San Andreas Mercenaries update. Its standard paint assignment covers the body, some engine parts, and rims; bumpers, grille, and exterior trim use the secondary colour. It originally wore the same wheel design as Los Santos Customs’ Spooner muscle wheels.
It can be assigned as an Exotic Exports delivery for Brucie Kibbutz, and Arena War’s “Repo – Sasquashed” directs players to destroy one. In The Chop Shop’s Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid mission “Hit and Run,” a modified blue example belonging to Marabunta Grande may be stolen as a getaway vehicle. An excessive front-wheel toe setting makes the car drift left without steering input, a fault also found on the Vamos and, less severely, the ZR380. Selecting Pinned Hood leaves the hood shut.
