An unnamed stepped-hull motorboat appearing to be based on the Contender 39ST is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, resembling a larger sibling of the Lure Predator bay boat. Examples have been spotted at a Grassrivers marina and in the Leonida Keys in official screenshots and a postcard, and a police version features in the game's second official artwork.
Hull and propulsion layout
The GTA VI motorboat uses a stepped hull and a three-engine outboard arrangement. Its layout follows the general structure of the Lure Predator bay boat, while using a substantially larger hull. The helm is positioned on the centreline rather than along either side of the deck.
A broad roof covers the helm area. Above it sits a mast carrying extra lights and aerial equipment. These fittings distinguish the roofline from the lower, open profile associated with the Lure Predator.
Contender 39ST influence
The boat takes its inspiration from the Contender 39ST. That real-world influence is reflected in the stepped-hull form, central driving position, large overhead roof, and triple outboard setup shown on the GTA VI vessel.
The design also carries roof-mounted lighting and antenna equipment. In GTA VI promotional imagery, the same basic boat design is represented both as a civilian craft and as a Vice Beach Police Department version, with the police example shown in the game’s second official artwork.
