Crowbar
Melee
The Crowbar is a tool-turned-melee-weapon that debuted in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online and is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. Rendered with a red handle and grey business end, it is a light, one-handed weapon that trades heavier damage for a faster attack speed, playing a close-quarters role similar to the knife. No manufacturer or real-world inspiration has been specified for it in any of its appearances.

Grand Theft Auto VI Status
The Crowbar is listed for Grand Theft Auto VI as a Tool. No trailer timestamp, screenshot, promotional image, in-game location, regional setting, user, variant, price, attachment, or manufacturer is identified for its VI appearance.
Its confirmed VI status should not be read as confirmation that the weapon retains any particular spawn point, mission use, purchase method, or combat behaviour from Grand Theft Auto V or Grand Theft Auto Online.
Earlier Single-Player Pickups
In Grand Theft Auto V, the Crowbar was among the less readily available melee pickups because Ammu-Nation did not sell it. It could be collected from industrial, construction, coastal, rural, and underwater locations across Los Santos and Blaine County.
Examples included a parking shed beneath the Davis Avenue–Dutch London Street junction on Autopia Parkway; the Bristols storage area on Elysian Island; a Bilgeco storage area at Terminal; and a house yard between Fudge Lane and Sustancia Road. Other city placements included Utopia Gardens, Vinewood Bowl, the second level of the Alta construction site, and the exterior metal stairs at Los Santos Customs in Burton.
Outside the city, pickups were recorded behind the Hang Ten Surf Shop in Chumash, at the far west end of Marina Drive in Sandy Shores, within Davis Quartz, beside the You Tool entrance in the Grand Senora Desert, and around Fort Zancudo’s water tanks. Additional examples were at Clucking Bell Farms and a construction building on Duluoz Avenue in Paleto Bay, plus a secluded Great Chaparral property where hostile residents could appear.
Underwater examples included wreck sites, a sunken freighter near Banning’s train bridge, and another wreck south of NOOSE Headquarters.
Online Activity Availability
Grand Theft Auto Online made the Crowbar available in selected adversary activities, including the Team Deathmatch map Cargo and the Last Team Standing maps Cypress Flats and Paleto Bay LTS. Map creators could also place the weapon in Content Creator jobs.
During Judging the Jury, provoking and killing the terminal target allowed the player to take that character’s Crowbar. First Dose 6: Off the Rails supplied one as a pickup for opening crates required by an objective. The Gun Van could also offer it for sale on a rotating weekly basis, without a stated price.
Melee Role and Comparisons
The Crowbar’s established gameplay role in V and Online was a rapidly swung, one-handed close-range weapon. Its low weight supported quick repeated strikes, while its damage was described as strong but below that of bulkier melee choices.
It was compared most closely with the Knife. The Golf Club and Baseball Bat were grouped with it as melee weapons that were harder to obtain because they were not normal Ammu-Nation purchases. No modifications, alternate models, named manufacturer, or numerical damage and speed values are identified.
Prior Series Appearances
Before it became usable in Grand Theft Auto V and Online, crowbars with a similar colour treatment appeared only as scenery in earlier games. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas included an unusable example on a table in Area 69’s underground area; Catalina also handled another during the opening cutscene of Farewell, My Love....
Grand Theft Auto IV likewise showed a crowbar in Clarence’s Associate’s Apartment, but it could not be collected or used. These appearances did not provide a weapon class, purchase route, modification system, or playable combat function.
