The Pfister Comet S2 Cabrio is a two-door cabriolet from Grand Theft Auto Online's The Contract update, first sold during the Comet S2 Cabrio Week event in January, and it is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It is the open-top companion to the Comet S2, marketed at young millionaires.
Vice Beach GTA VI Sightings
The Comet S2 Cabrio appears in Grand Theft Auto VI footage and promotional imagery in Vice Beach. At 0:31 in the first trailer, a neon-blue example is parked behind a Cheetah Classic on a road styled after Ocean Drive. Rockstar’s Vice City promotional website also includes a screenshot of a white Comet S2 Cabrio travelling through Vice Beach.
These appearances place Pfister’s sports-class cabriolet in the Vice City region. The footage and screenshot establish its presence there, but do not provide GTA VI purchase information, performance data, or mission use.
GTA VI Rear-End Changes
The GTA VI version appears to revise several details from the Grand Theft Auto Online car. Its rear bumper has been reshaped so that the licence plate sits in a proper recess rather than looking attached to the bumper’s plastic section.
A further badge is visible below the PFISTER lettering and beneath the small rear lip spoiler. The upper edge of the engine grille is also more exposed, instead of being partly obscured by the surrounding body panel as on the earlier model.
Porsche Design References
Its principal real-world reference is the Porsche 911 Cabriolet of the 992 generation: the drop-top counterpart to the 992-based Comet S2. The headlight treatment also resembles that of the earlier 991.1-generation Porsche 911.
The front-end trim and side skirts take cues from the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS, with further styling elements associated with the second-generation Porsche Panamera. The rear lights and portions of the rear fascia may reference the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
Online Drivetrain and Availability
In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Cabrio uses a rear-mounted flat-six connected to an eight-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive. Six pipes visible under the vehicle support the flat-six identification. Its engine note is shared in character with the Comet S2 and Comet SR, while the Comet Retro Custom and Comet Safari are named as other Comet models using flat-six power.
Legendary Motorsport listed the car for $1,797,000. It can also be selected as a recovery target in the Security Contract mission Vehicle Recovery, where the vehicle belongs to an LS Car Meet member. During Festive Surprise 2021, it was awarded to players who logged in from December 23 through December 29.
Roof, Colours and Glitches
The earlier Online model differs from the hard-roof Comet S2 through its retractable fabric top. During roof operation, the rear cover lifts, moves rearward, then returns after the roof completes its movement. The cabin keeps the hardtop’s gauges and textures, but its horn pad carries a Pfister emblem.
Primary paint covers the body, secondary paint covers the mirror housings, and a trim colour changes interior trim and stitching. Its wheels match the Comet S2’s design and the Hyperfresh Street rims at Los Santos Customs. Naturally spawned examples alone can receive a separate rim colour.
Available liveries include Red Pfister Track Graphics, Stronzo, Air Herler, Ron Racing, Retro Redwood and Rock N’ Roll Legends. Stronzo draws on Porsche 935 Martini Racing colours; Air Herler references the 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’ and the 2019 Porsche 935 tribute, while Retro Redwood recalls Rothmans-style Porsche racing schemes. The Retro Race Bumper is a front-bumper modification.
Online roof animation can expose floating square textures in first-person view, moving with the soft top and rear cover. A third square can be found at the front of the cabin with a clipped Rockstar Editor camera. The driver’s hand can also pass through the steering wheel while sounding the horn.
