Dominator ASP

The Dominator ASP appears in the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer at 0:45. It is parked with other modified cars during a street takeover at an intersection in Crosstown, Vice City. This is the confirmed GTA VI appearance: the footage establishes the car’s presence in the Vice City region, but does not show it being driven or provide GTA VI-specific performance, purchase, or modification information.

Its principal real-world basis is the 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R. The 1995 Mustang SVT Cobra R contributed the hood treatment and rear lamps, while the headlights and lower intake draw from the Honda Integra Type R. The result is a two-door muscle-car shape related to the wider Dominator line, but with a more compact, rounder form than the Dominator it precedes.

The rear is its clearest departure from many Dominator-family vehicles. Instead of the usual upright lamp arrangement, it uses horizontally arranged lights, a tall body-coloured rear wing, and a large DOMINATOR stamping across the bumper. Twin-flag emblems remain on the C-pillars. “ASP” is an English form of the Ancient Greek aspis, a term associated with the Egyptian cobra and likely an allusion to the Cobra R inspiration.

In GTA Online, Vapid sells the Dominator ASP in the Muscle class. It uses rear-wheel drive and a five-speed transmission. Its engine bay contains a represented V8 with cams on both sides, topped by a supercharger and intake filter with red filter material. Badging identifies the engine as a supercharged 450 cubic-inch, or 7.4-litre, unit.

Its acceleration and maximum speed were described as competitive with some Sports-class vehicles. Grip is especially strong under fast, hard turns, avoiding the loss of traction and spins associated with other Muscle cars. It was described as having the class’s strongest cornering, although stopping performance is slightly below average: straight-line braking takes more room, and braking in a turn can lock the wheels and produce understeer. Its audio combines the older muscle-car character used by the Dominator, Vigero, and Ruiner with the more modern sound associated with the Imperator, Tulip, and Gauntlet Classic.

The GTA Online version is listed through Southern San Andreas Super Autos at $1,775,000. Raising LS Car Meet Reputation unlocks a trade price of $1,331,250. Its standard wheels are concave five-spoke rims with medium-profile tyres.

The primary paint selection covers the body and the coloured stitching on the steering wheel and seats. Secondary paint is reserved for selected aftermarket parts, while dashboard trim and gauge colours can be chosen separately. The cabin uses the Sultan interior type also found in the Sultan and Zion, including a Vapid-marked steering-wheel horn pad.

Among the available body parts, Aggressor front bumpers take their form from an inverted version of the Saleen S-281 Cobra bumper. The Simple Race Livery reflects the 2000 Mustang SVT Cobra R’s racing graphics. Not Tonight Pizzaboy repeats a livery concept also used on the Elegy Retro Custom, itself derived from the yellow custom car in the 2001 film The Fast & The Furious; its title refers to a line from that film.

The Fukaru Race Livery’s hood stripe sits slightly too far toward the passenger side. GT Hood choices include their own hood pins, so selecting an additional Hood Catches option can leave two sets of pins intersecting.

Opening the Exhausts category at a modification shop can make the camera erratic and difficult to control. Attempts to rotate it may force the view back behind the car, an issue reported more clearly in confined garages such as Route 68 Los Santos Customs and Beeker’s Garage in Paleto Bay.
