The Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor is a two-door police muscle car added during the continuation of Grand Theft Auto Online's The Chop Shop update, and it is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. In Online it can only be modified in player-owned properties, in keeping with its law-enforcement trim.
First Trailer Highway Scene
At 1:04 in GTA VI’s first trailer, two Gauntlet Interceptors attend an overturned Vapid SUV on a busy Leonida highway. This is the vehicle’s specifically shown GTA VI appearance; it had also appeared in official GTA VI material before arriving in GTA Online.
The cars appear to belong to an unnamed highway-patrol organization. Their black-and-tan paint scheme resembles Florida Highway Patrol markings, with yellow identifiers on the front fenders and what appears to be Leonida’s seal on the trunk. Visible equipment includes emergency lights above the windscreen inside the cabin and a traffic-advisor bar on the rear parcel shelf.
Challenger Roots and Equipment
The Interceptor is the police conversion of the Gauntlet Hellfire. Its underlying design is chiefly based on the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon from the LA generation, while the enforcement version draws on third-generation LC/LA Dodge Challenger patrol cars.
Its influences include a 2009 Challenger R/T used in Florida, a 2019 Challenger R/T, Texas Highway Patrol Challenger examples, and a fictional Challenger police car from a 2010 game. Compared with the Hellfire, the Interceptor adds steel wheels, multiple lightbars, and police equipment inside the car.
Online Purchase and Ownership
In GTA Online, Bravado’s Gauntlet Interceptor belongs to the Emergency class. It was sold through Warstock Cache & Carry for $5,420,000 after the player led Slush Fund, or for $4,065,000 after leading Scene of the Crime.
Vincent Effenburger uses a standard-issue example after the early-2024 events of The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid. When showing it to the player following his LSPD work, he says the cars had only recently come off the production line.
Hellfire Performance Comparison
Because it is based on the Gauntlet Hellfire, the Interceptor retains that car’s V8, rear-wheel-drive layout, and engine audio. It is described as having a strong maximum speed, moderate acceleration, and grip below the average level.
The Interceptor settles firmly under load and tends to correct back toward its intended direction when its rear tires slide, in a manner compared with the Toreador. At 210 kg, or 462.9 lb, more than the standard Hellfire, it is also better able to force other vehicles aside. The Stanier LE Cruiser is another named police-car comparison, although neither it nor the Interceptor qualifies for every police-vehicle objective.
Cut Origins and Known Bugs
A police Gauntlet, internally designated POLGAUNTLET, was among the vehicles planned for a cancelled Cops & Crooks update around 2020. It later reached GTA Online during The Chop Shop’s continuation, alongside The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid release period.
Removing the grille leaves its grille-mounted emergency lights suspended in mid-air. Fitting any hood-mounted bug catcher also leaves its belt moving at the same rate while the engine is switched off. The LSPD Modern livery was briefly obtainable on every platform despite being intended as an Expanded and Enhanced Career Progress reward; Bottom Dollar Bounties disabled it and removed it from affected vehicles on other platforms. The Interceptor cannot intimidate the target in Payphone Hit: The Popstar and is not accepted for Prison Break - Station.
