The Regina is a Dundreary four-door station wagon evoking 1960s suburbia, with a long pedigree covering Vice City, San Andreas, Vice City Stories, GTA V and GTA Online; it is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. Two examples, one red and one beige, were visible in a single clip from the September 2022 leaks.
GTA VI Evidence
The documented Vice City leak appearance is the only GTA VI-specific material identified. No GTA VI details are given for the Regina’s mechanical layout, cabin, variants, purchasability, vehicle class, or handling.
American Wagon Influences
The original 3D-era Regina drew chiefly from the 1977–1986 Pontiac Parisienne Station Wagon, especially post-1981 examples. Its swollen grille, full-length metal side moulding, and single-colour rear lamps point to that car, while its bumpers also resemble those of the related 1980-and-later Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser.
The HD-era body changed direction. Its basic shape and window area take after the 1966–1970 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Wagon. The front combines cues associated with the 1964 Pontiac Tempest Safari and 1959 Pontiac Catalina, while the rear incorporates elements resembling the 1968–1972 Chevrolet Chevelle and Malibu wagons. Its wheels resemble 1960s GM rally designs. GTA V and GTA Online added front-end, bonnet and roof-rack cues associated with the 1973 Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban.
Earlier Game Appearances
The Regina appeared in Vice City, San Andreas, Vice City Stories, The Lost and Damned, GTA V and GTA Online. The Vice City, San Andreas and Vice City Stories versions broadly share one design, although San Andreas uses one headlamp per side instead of the paired lamps used in Vice City and Vice City Stories. Its San Andreas rear lights are separated and resemble those fitted to the Rancher.
The Lost and Damned recast it as a worn 1960s/1970s wagon. It kept paired headlights, though these became rounder, and moved the indicators into the bumper. Smaller rear lamps, circular reversing lights in the rear bumper, a chrome roof rack and two-tone paint—body colour below with a usually dark roof—distinguished this version. Dundreary lettering sits between the rear lamps, with the model name on the passenger side. The model appears to omit B-pillars despite having rear doors hinged at their front edges.
GTA V and Online retained the Lost and Damned-era basic form but restored the car rather than presenting it as a beater. Wood-effect trim runs along the lower sides. In these games it is classed among sedans despite its full-size station-wagon body.
Racks, Cargo and Sales
GTA V and Online Reginas can appear with a bare roof, a short chrome rack at the rear, or a full-length chrome rack carrying wooden slats. Either rack can also carry tied-down boxes and luggage, producing four roof-accessory arrangements. San Andreas allowed modifications at TransFender, where the Las Venturas branch added 20 percent to every alteration except paint.
In GTA Online, Southern San Andreas Super Autos once listed the Regina for $8,000, before the San Andreas Mercenaries update removed it from the website in enhanced editions. Selling one at Los Santos Customs returns $800. The vehicle belongs to the station-wagon model set with the Stratum and Ingot; at locations using that set, each has a one-in-three chance of appearing.
Driving Traits and Oddities
The earlier 3D-era Regina uses front-wheel drive and an underpowered V8. It accelerates modestly, lacks speed, pushes wide in turns and has weak braking; this drivetrain differs from the rear-wheel-drive layouts of its real-life inspirations. The Lost and Damned version instead uses a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive arrangement with a large-displacement V8 and five-speed manual transmission. It shares handling data with the Solair, although its engine audio is also used by the Bobcat and Rancher.
As a GTA IV beater, the Lost and Damned Regina may knock at high revs, backfire, and take an unusually long time to start. Rapidly alternating acceleration or reverse can shorten the start-up process. Police radio dispatch can incorrectly identify it as a Declasse Rancher or a damaged SUV, even though an unused line names the Regina. Its interior is closely copied from the Stallion’s.
GTA V and Online use a single-overhead-cam V8 with a large cylindrical air cleaner and four-speed gearbox, sharing engine sound with the Peyote. Acceleration, braking, top speed and hill-climbing are poor, while high-speed cornering can induce oversteer. It resists crash damage well. An older headlight-upgrade bug displayed two halogen and two xenon lamps while retaining blue xenon beams; enhanced editions corrected it.
