Sadler

The Sadler was seen in Port Gellhorn in a September 2022 GTA VI leak. A gray example travelled south on Route 2 near the local Gas Stop, pulling a trailer behind a Utility Truck. This is the vehicle’s specifically documented appearance in the region.

A black low-detail Sadler later appeared in a temporarily posted 2025 demo reel attributed to a former Rockstar Toronto character animator. In the test environment, split-screen footage showed a female NPC climbing down from the truck bed in one view and stepping off the roof in another, with the Boardwalk Hotel behind her.

The GTA V-era Sadler takes most of its form from the first Ford F-250 Super Duty. Its front end also draws from the third-generation GMC Sierra, while its divided grille resembles that of a Chevrolet Silverado. The truck’s 5.4L V8 badging references Ford’s Triton V8 of the same displacement.

Its squared styling includes a large chrome-trimmed grille, rectangular lamps, a protruding bumper, flared arches, running boards, five cab marker lights, and a three-piece rear window. The stepped lower edge near the A-pillars follows a feature used by the F-250 Super Duty and Ford F-150 models from 2004 onward. Its lamps and frontal treatment were also reused on the Sandking XL, Sandking SWB, and Liberator.

The original San Andreas Sadler was a two-door farm pickup rather than the four-door crew-cab truck used in GTA V and GTA Online. That earlier model was based chiefly on the 1973–75 International Harvester Light Line pickup, with some resemblance to the 1971 fifth-generation Ford F-250. It commonly appeared in countryside areas and sometimes carried cargo such as drums, soft-drink cans, or crates in its bed.

In GTA V, the Sadler became a full-size work and towing truck. It was especially frequent in Blaine County, around Sandy Shores, on freeways, and at construction sites through the CARS_CONSTRUCTION vehicle set. It could also appear hauling small utility or boat trailers. Southern San Andreas Super Autos listed it for $35,000, while GTA Online allowed sales at Los Santos Customs for $3,500.

The GTA V and Online truck has a rear hitch for a small utility trailer, Boat Trailer, or Anti-Aircraft Trailer. It can spawn with a brush guard shared with the Bobcat XL, a bed cover, roll bar, non-working roll-bar lamps, roof markers, or a utility rack over the roof and bed. These extras cannot be fitted through Los Santos Customs.

The Gunrunning update used a unique desert-brown Sadler when an Anti-Aircraft Trailer was requested from the Interaction Menu. That version had off-road tyres, a brush guard, a KC-light roll bar, and tinted glass. A snow-covered Sadler is also treated as a GTA V variant; San Andreas had a worn ‘beater’ version.

The GTA V and Online Sadler combines average acceleration and a respectable maximum speed with a broad turning circle that requires heavy braking in tight bends. Its high clearance, durable construction, and torque-oriented engine suit uneven ground and steep climbs. It uses a front-mounted V8 with a five-speed transmission and all-wheel drive; its engine audio combines cues from a GM 5.3L V8 and a diesel-like idle also heard on the Granger and related versions.

San Andreas gave the Sadler lower-to-middling speed and acceleration, but stronger stability, handling, and off-road ability than the Bobcat. Its engine model appears to be a transverse inline-four. In GTA V and Online, its inability to carry occupants in the covered rear area contributed to its Utility classification rather than Van classification. Front brake components could visibly pass through the wheel rims, an error corrected in the enhanced version. The truck also cannot enter car washes in GTA V or GTA Online.
