The Albany V-STR is a four-door high-performance sedan returning from GTA Online, where it arrived in January 2020 during the continuation of The Diamond Casino Heist update, and it is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. Several examples have been spotted in official material connected to the Ambrosia region.
Ambrosia Postcard Sightings
For Grand Theft Auto VI, the V-STR has been identified in several copies on the Ambrosia postcard published through the game’s promotional website. That postcard is the specifically documented GTA VI material for the car; no trailer timestamp, screenshot location, variant, or GTA VI specification is identified here.
Cadillac CTS-V Foundation
The V-STR is based chiefly on the 2016–2019 Cadillac CTS-V. Its designation echoes “CTS-V,” including the separated V, while its badge closely resembles Cadillac’s V branding. The hood and rear-light arrangement also recall the preceding CTS-V generation, and some remaining cues may reflect the Cadillac CT5.
Its styling combines several other vehicles. The front is influenced by the C117 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, with facelift W212 E-Class headlamps. An AMG CLA-inspired rear bumper, a tenth-generation Honda Civic-derived front bumper, and Nissan GT-R-style side vent, diffuser, and exhaust details are also present. The C-pillar and rear glass resemble the X250 Jaguar XF, while the grille combines CTS-V, CLA-Class, and eighth-generation Chevrolet Malibu elements.
Online Purchase And Role
In GTA Online, Albany sold the V-STR through Legendary Motorsport for $1,285,000. It was assigned to the Sports class despite its midsize luxury-sedan form. It could also appear among Brucie Kibbutz’s Exotic Exports requests, and an Auto Shop could select one for customer service work.
The car uses a V8, indicated by its engine cover, with an eight-speed transmission and a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive arrangement. Its audio is shared with the Revolter and with both Windsor versions. The startup sequence includes the same chime heard in the Cognoscenti, Paragon R, and Revolter.
Bodywork And Lighting
At the nose, a full-width lower plastic splitter sits beneath three mesh intakes. The outer intake sections carry silver horizontal elements and daytime-running-light strips. Above them is a large Albany grille divided by a chrome-trimmed horizontal bar and a round badge area. Dark headlamp housings contain paired lamps with LED-like strips overhead.
Two vents sit behind the front wheel openings, finished in black with chrome above. Creases run along the sides through the chrome door handles toward the tail lamps, while a second line approaches the rear arches and skirts. The standard trunk treatment includes a plastic ducktail spoiler. Its rear bumper has edge vents, a central diffuser, and two large paired exhaust outlets. Activating high beams illuminates the lower bumper’s running or fog lamps, while the main lamps do not become brighter.
Cabin, Colors And Liveries
The cabin uses the four-seat Super1 interior shared with the Thrax, itself related to interiors used by the Nero, Nero Custom, and XA-21. Its instruments are Prototipo dials from the X80 Proto rather than the Race Generic gauges used by those related cars. The steering-wheel horn pad carries Albany branding.
Primary paint covers most of the body, while mirror caps take the secondary colour. Interior stitching and rear seats accept a trim colour, and the standard wheels are unique ten-spoke rims fitted with low-profile tyres. Available liveries include Albany Racer, Jetsam GT, and Atomic Drifter; Atomic Drifter follows Falken Drift Team-style graphics, and comparable livery treatments also appear on the Jester Classic and ZR350.
