Astron

Before its announced Grand Theft Auto VI appearance, the Astron entered Grand Theft Auto Online with The Contract update. It is a Pfister vehicle in the SUVs class, with a five-door compact-SUV form and a Light Truck body type.

Legendary Motorsport sold the model for $1,580,000. An otherwise inaccessible red example associated with Tanisha Jackson was normally parked outside 3671 Whispymound Drive; it carried the personalised registration TAN1SHA.

The Astron chiefly takes its shape from the Porsche Macan, specifically the 95B generation. Its front end draws more closely from the 2015–2018 Porsche Cayenne, known internally as the 92A.

Its headlamp design has possible links to several Porsches: the Cayenne, the facelifted 2013–2016 Panamera 970.2, and the 987- through 981-generation Boxster and Cayman. The rear incorporates cues associated with the third-generation Cayenne, the 9YA/9YB. The tail-light form may also reflect the U540 Lincoln MKX, later renamed the first-generation Lincoln Nautilus.

The body is rounded and relatively tall, following the proportions of a luxury SUV. Round lamps, plastic trim extending along the doors, and a distinctive rear light arrangement define the exterior. That rear treatment has similarities to the Pfister Growler.

The engine compartment is largely hidden beneath plastic covers, an unusual feature among the game’s vehicles. The main paint colour applies to the body and to the cabin stitching, while the secondary colour is used on parts of the engine cover.

Its standard wheels are chrome, five-spoke split rims, each centred by five bolts and fitted with high-profile tyres. Rim accents can receive a separate colour on naturally spawned Astrons, though that extra accent is not available through the stated vehicle configuration options.

Front-bumper selections alter the Astron’s fog-light treatment. One arrangement places horizontal auxiliary lamps in the side intakes; another uses slim strips in the intake grille; a third puts recessed lights beneath the intakes. Certain bumper choices allow these secondary fog lamps to operate.

Inside, the Astron uses the same SUV interior found in the Novak, Rebla GTS and Toros. Its instruments are shared with the FMJ as well as those SUVs, and the Pfister badge appears on the steering-wheel horn pad.

The Astron appears to use a V-configured engine related to the units in the Novak and Rebla GTS. It has a seven-speed transmission, with the engine mounted at the front and drive sent to all four wheels. The stated torque split is 44 per cent front and 56 per cent rear.

Its engine audio is shared with the Novak. Alongside that connection, the Rebla GTS is the other named SUV with related mechanical hardware, while the Growler is the named comparison for the Astron’s rear-light styling. The model name comes from the Greek word for “star”, continuing Pfister’s astronomy-based naming alongside Comet and Astrale.
