The Primo Custom is a lowrider take on Albany's four-door sedan, eligible for modification at Benny's Original Motor Works in GTA Online. This customized sedan is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
First-trailer Vice City sighting
The Primo Custom appears in the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer at 0:27. A blue example travels in the opposing lane near a car meet in Stockyard, a neighborhood within Vice City. This is the specifically shown GTA VI appearance; the trailer sighting does not establish which GTA Online customization choices, colors, or mechanical features return.
Albany is the in-game manufacturer, and the vehicle is identified with the Sedans class in GTA Online. Its body is midsize and it has four doors.
Lowriders update conversion
In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Primo Custom arrived with the Lowriders update as an upgrade of the regular Primo. Converting a standard Primo cost $400,000 at Benny's Original Motor Works. The Custom retained the base car's general shape along with its original front and rear styling, so the conversion emphasized lowrider equipment and visual personalization rather than a new sedan design.
Its stock ride height is low enough that driving quickly into curbs can cause contact. In performance terms, it matched the ordinary Primo, making the upgrade chiefly a choice for a lowrider-styled sedan rather than improved sedan capability.
Chassis and powertrain changes
The conversion added decorated front-suspension parts, rear axle hardware, and door handles. Further engraved treatments were available for the front bumper, grille, exhaust components, engine block, and air filters. Underneath, it used a colorable frame, an exposed driveshaft, hydraulic suspension bars, and an exhaust with two outlets instead of the regular Primo's single Y-shaped arrangement.
Like its standard counterpart, the Custom used a V8, indicated by the engine cover. Four twin-barrel carburetors were fitted, and its engine audio had a harsher character than that of the regular Primo. Selecting the Low Level Spoiler modification placed “Supercharged V8” lettering at the rear.
Colors, cabin and wheels
The normal Primo used a two-color body treatment, while the Custom used one main body color. That primary color also affected interior stitching and the lower frame. Separate interior color settings changed the steering wheel and seats, while dial color affected both the instruments and radio display. A secondary color was used on the inner seat sections.
It came with engraved Big Worm wheels and whitewall tires. Naturally spawned examples could have a dedicated rim tint, which also influenced the custom grille choices. When an aftermarket interior was installed, liveries extended onto the dashboard, a behavior described as unique to this vehicle. Some trunk and ICE combinations could clip through one another.
Missions and named ownership
The Primo Custom was used by The Families in Investigation: Davis and Investigation: The Ballas, and by the Los Santos Vagos during Short Trip – OG Kush. It appeared in Agent Johnson's garage in ULP – Extraction, where it could be driven to trace her last known location. Johnson's own car could be green or white.
It was also among the vehicles that could be selected for Auto Shop Service, appeared during Steal Nightclub Goods in The Criminal Enterprises, and had seven examples that needed destroying in Repo – Sasquashed.
