Rumpo Custom

The Rumpo Custom was seen in one clip from the September 2022 GTA VI leaks. Two examples, both painted red, were parked at the Schlott Construction warehouse in Port Gellhorn. The warehouse stood opposite Hank’s Waffles.

This is the stated GTA VI evidence for the vehicle. No trailer timestamp, screenshot, or official promotional appearance is identified.

Its real-world reference is described as an off-road van built on a 2014 Ford E-Series chassis. In GTA Online, the Custom was derived from the regular Rumpo: it kept that vehicle’s grille, headlights and front-end identity, while most of the remaining bodywork was extensively reworked.

The Custom’s off-road equipment was compared with the Merryweather Mesa. Its sliding side doors operated in the manner of the Minivan Custom and Moonbeam rather than using the standard Rumpo’s rear-door arrangement.

A black utility bumper and guard dominated the front, carrying a pair of round auxiliary lamps. The retained grille and headlamps had black finishes. Tubular running boards lined the lower sides, while the left rear side carried a small ladder. Window deflectors were fitted around the cab doors.

The roof held a full-length rack, with four additional lamps at its front and a spare wheel at its rear. At the back, a driver-side compartment door carried another spare, while the licence plate sat on the passenger side. The usual Rumpo tail lamps were repositioned lower, and the rear bumper was reinforced with guards around those lamps.

Only one paint colour could be applied, and that selection also changed the cabin stitching. Its rims used the Brawler’s design and rim colour, paired with tall tyres using knobby off-road tread. The vehicle also had a horn sound unavailable on other GTA Online vehicles.

Compared with the ordinary Rumpo, the Custom was described as better suited to uneven ground because of its off-road tyres and taller suspension. Its glass could resist bullets for a limited time, giving occupants temporary protection from gunfire.

The same suspension that improved clearance also made the van susceptible to rolling in fast corners. Its soft behaviour was especially apparent under sharp steering inputs or braking. Top speed and acceleration were described as average for a van, which could make escaping opponents difficult.

Power came from a single-overhead-cam V8 linked to a five-speed gearbox, with the engine at the front and drive sent to all wheels. Its audio was a louder, higher-pitched version of the van engine sound associated with vehicles such as the Speedo and Youga. Reversing the rear-mounted spare wheel into a wall could push the van forward.

In GTA Online, the Rumpo Custom cost $130,000 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos. VIPs who owned a medium Warehouse could request one for $7,000 through VIP Vehicles; it was free when owned personally. Such requests arrived in matte black near the player where sufficient room existed.

It could be selected as a Special Cargo delivery vehicle and appeared in Escape Escort, the Gunrunning MC contract involving weapon crates near the Zancudo River, Paige Harris’s Robbery in Progress, and the Thermal Charges preparation when SecuroServ was involved. It was also used by attackers in Forest Survival, Merryweather personnel during The E.C.U Job finale, police in the Acid Product sale mission “Police sting,” and crate transport in Project Overthrow’s Breaking Ranks.

Several mission-bound black examples omitted equipment, including roof lamps, the rack, the driver-side window deflector, side ladder, and rear spare wheel. The black van used by gold-bullion buyers during Robbery in Progress could not be entered.
