The Benefactor XLS, a four-door luxury SUV returning from GTA Online's Further Adventures in Finance and Felony update, is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It appeared briefly in a single clip within the September 2022 leaks.

Downtown Vice City sighting

The XLS was seen in Downtown Vice City, parked in an amphitheater car park. It appeared at long range as a white low-detail model, so the GTA VI evidence establishes its presence in the Vice City region but does not show close-up exterior, interior, or mechanical detail. Benefactor remains its in-game manufacturer, and it is classified as an SUV with a Light Truck body type.

Mercedes and BMW influences

The overall form draws chiefly from the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class X166, especially the GLS63 AMG. That influence is strongest in the broad silhouette, enlarged wheel arches, and windowhouse. The name may combine BMW's X-series designation with Mercedes-Benz's GL/GLS naming, while also referring to the vehicle's extra-large full-size-SUV proportions.

The BMW X5 F15 contributes much of the side view, including the rear roof pillar, rear end treatment, taillamp shape, and roof rails. The facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe DM is the principal reference for the front end, while the bonnet and rear bumper take cues from the Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG.

Online model exterior

On the GTA Online version, the front combines a large chrome Benefactor grille with modern lamps, chrome lamp surrounds, and lower plastic trim. A small opening sits above the central lower guard, while the outer bumper sections carry body-coloured surfaces over plastic edges. The recessed middle portion includes C-shaped chrome pieces, rectangular fog lights, LED strips, and the number-plate position.

Flared fenders and broad lower side skirts give the body a wider stance. Chrome surrounds the side windows, whereas the inner pillars are plastic; the mirrors use painted upper shells with plastic beneath. Two raised roof channels run alongside plastic roof strips. At the rear, oval lamps extend into the quarter panels, beneath a small window spoiler carrying the centre brake lamp. Mesh-like bumper openings, red strips at the outer openings, a plastic lower guard, and twin exhaust cut-outs finish the rear treatment.

Colours, wheels and instruments

The principal paint colour covers the body, while a secondary colour is used for the middle guard on the front bumper. Its wheels match those fitted to the Huntley S: a version of the Split Ten high-end wheel design offered through Los Santos Customs. The vehicle also uses the Cavalcade's textures and instrument dials.

An armored XLS variant exists in GTA Online, although no design or performance differences for that version are specified. The available GTA VI sighting is too distant to confirm whether either the paint arrangement, wheel design, Cavalcade-derived instruments, or armored version will carry over.

GTA Online ownership and handling

In GTA Online, the XLS could be bought from Legendary Motorsport for $253,000. It was later taken off that retailer during the San Andreas Mercenaries update and returned with the Money Fronts update. Organization members could also request one for $5,000 once their CEO had acquired a Warehouse; that charge was waived when the CEO owned either an XLS or its armored counterpart as a Personal Vehicle.

The GTA Online XLS uses a front-mounted, single-overhead-cam V8 and a six-speed transmission, driving all four wheels with equal torque split. Its engine audio is shared with the Stanier. All-wheel drive improves grip both on roads and over rough ground, and its speed is above that of a typical SUV. It is broadly comparable with the Bravado Gresley, but has a higher top speed. Its size and height produce substantial lean in turns; the suspension usually keeps it upright, though uneven terrain can still lead to a rollover.
