The Bravado Buffalo STX is a four-door muscle sedan introduced with Grand Theft Auto Online's The Contract update in December 2021 and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It extends the Buffalo family, which the in-game marketing jokingly ties to the closely related Gauntlet lineage.
GTA VI sightings
The Buffalo STX has been seen in Vice City in several forms. September 2022 footage showed two black examples passing the Cipher Mall in Rockridge. In the first trailer, only its roofline is visible during the Crosstown street takeover at 0:46. Its rear can also be made out at 1:00, ahead of Lucia and Jason’s Tulip as they drive past the mall in Waning Sands.
Official GTA VI media also shows a police Buffalo STX. These patrol-car versions carry several police-department paint schemes. The sightings confirm civilian and police variants, but GTA Online equipment, performance and customization details have not been confirmed for GTA VI.
Charger-based bodywork
Its main real-world reference is the 2015–2023 Dodge Charger, generation LD. The STX keeps the Charger’s basic full-size four-door proportions, while drawing its more aggressive body-kit treatment from Charger R/T Scat Pack, Daytona, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat versions. Its grille ducting and the 2020–2023 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody-style wheels also follow Charger cues.
Other details come from outside the Charger line. The headlamp internals resemble those of the first Audi Q3, while the taillamp shape and the black panel around them recall the 2013–2017 SRT/Dodge Viper. The hood may take inspiration from the 2015–2020 Shelby GT350, and its side vents and skirts resemble parts fitted to the F80 BMW M3 and F82/F83 BMW M4. The STX name appears to reference Dodge’s SXT designation.
Buffalo family changes
In GTA Online, Bravado presents the STX as a newer Buffalo-family sedan, following the Buffalo and Buffalo S rather than replacing their identity outright. It retains familiar elements from the Buffalo S, including the side outlets, rear-light treatment and dark trunk panel, but applies them to a newer front end. That fascia combines large outer intakes, two smaller openings high in the grille, and rounded LED lamps. A small trunk-lip spoiler is fitted as standard.
The cabin is a four-door adaptation of the interior used by the Specter, Dominator GTX and Gauntlet Hellfire, with a Bravado badge on the steering-wheel horn pad. Body paint is the primary colour; secondary paint affects interior stitching. Separate trim colouring covers portions of the dashboard, door cards and seat interiors. Standard wheels are dual five-spoke rims with low-profile tyres.
Online class and tuning
In GTA Online, the Buffalo STX is a Bravado Muscle-class vehicle with a full-size sedan body. It uses a supercharged single-cam V8, an eight-speed transmission, and front-engine rear-wheel drive. Its sound combines Buffalo S and Sprunk Buffalo elements with supercharger noise similar to that heard from the Tampa and Weaponized Tampa.
It runs near the front of the Muscle category, with acceleration comparable to the Gauntlet Hellfire, slightly stronger braking, and a high maximum speed that can challenge Sports-class cars. Its stable high-speed cornering has been compared with the Dominator GTX, rather than the traction loss and spins associated with many muscle cars. The Sprunk Racing paint scheme reprises the Sprunk Buffalo theme and retains its number 68. Hood choices reference the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and the 2015–2019 Charger SRT Hellcat.
Agency equipment and issues
The GTA Online price is $2,150,000 through Southern San Andreas Super Autos, or $1,612,500 at the trade price after buying an Agency. Standard modification shops can customize it, while Agency vehicle workshops provide the special upgrades. These include a Remote Control Unit, a Missile Lock-on Jammer, driver-operated forward machine guns, slick proximity mines and armor plating. The remote-control camera is locked to first person, and the jammer and remote-control unit cannot remain installed together.
With a driver aboard and maximum standard armor, it survives two homing missiles or Heavy Sniper Mk II explosive rounds, but not one RPG. Armor plating raises resistance to three RPGs, 11 homing missiles or nine explosive sniper rounds; those totals are halved when no player occupies or remotely controls it. The windows resist 15 rounds from most guns. Franklin Clinton owns a Frost White example with FC1988 plates, occasionally parked in the player’s Agency Garage.
Known faults include detached grille-related parts and machine-gun openings remaining suspended after heavy front-end damage. Installed louvers disappear after changing sessions, and the rear plate lamp sits off-centre. During the Gangbanger Robbery getaway-vehicle task, Jamal Amir incorrectly calls it a Gauntlet Buffalo STX.
