The Karin Intruder is a four-door sedan spanning Grand Theft Auto IV, V, and Online, descended from a compact sedan in an earlier era, and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It appeared briefly in the September 2022 leaks across two clips, including one with its rear vaguely visible parked at Cipher Mall in Rockridge, Vice City.
First Trailer Sightings
The first GTA VI trailer shows a red Intruder at 0:44, travelling along a road with a woman dancing on its roof while someone in a neighbouring car records her. The shot exposes the sedan’s trunk, tail lamps, coloured cabin, and the mix of chrome and plastic around its side glass. A Karin badge is visible on the trunk panel.
Two silver examples also appear in the trailer. At 1:03, one sits in traffic on a Leonida highway near an overturned SUV. At 1:07, another turns through a Vice City junction where the VCPD has halted traffic because of a gathering of bikers. These appearances place the full-size Karin in the Vice City region.
Facelift Q45 Influence
For GTA VI, the Intruder is modelled chiefly after the facelifted 2005–2006 Infiniti Q45, from the F50 generation. This is a more specific version of the earlier Intruder’s F50 Q45 inspiration. The trailer footage confirms exterior revisions at the rear and around the window trim, but does not establish GTA VI performance, pricing, customization, or vehicle classification.
Earlier Styling Sources
In Grand Theft Auto IV, then Grand Theft Auto V and Online, the car combined a third-generation Infiniti Q45 base with several older luxury-sedan cues. Its rear treatment drew from the first-generation Infiniti I30, while its conservative chrome strips and body creases echoed 1990s Infiniti styling. The front bumper used elements of the fourth-generation Nissan President, including its fog-lamp placement, alongside details associated with the ninth-generation Toyota Mark II.
The hood-integrated grille and wheel design also referenced the third-generation Lexus LS 430. The tail lamps have LS 430 similarities, although their joined arrangement and split housings more closely resemble the 1984–1986 Holden Commodore VK. Its wheels resemble Löwenhart LD1 aftermarket rims. The rear-wing option further supported the Commodore comparison.
IV, V and Online Changes
The GTA IV Intruder used the Imponte DF8-90 interior wholesale: its wheel and front-seat head restraints carried Imponte branding, and the seats displayed the DF8-90 name. Chrome remained on the grille, handles, lower trim, window surrounds, and tail-lamp edging. It also had a third-brake-light glow effect despite having no physical lamp.
GTA V retained the exterior design but dropped that brake-light effect. Enhanced editions gave the interior additional detail, including Feroci gauges also used by the Stratum and Ingot. In GTA V and Online, the Intruder is classed as a Sedan and uses one body-colour channel. Across both games, it has a 4.3-litre V8 driving the rear wheels through a five-speed transmission.
VX, Prices and Bugs
A VX-styled version appeared in GTA IV and was associated with Liberty City Triad territory; Phil Bell owned a grey standard Intruder, while the Ming Family Triads used them during Harboring a Grudge. In GTA V, Los Santos Customs parts for the ordinary model could recreate the VX appearance. Selecting the Low Level Spoiler restores the VX badge.
Online sold the Intruder through Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $16,000 as part of The Business Update, and an unmodified example could be sold at Los Santos Customs for $1,600. It was later removed from the site in the enhanced releases with the San Andreas Mercenaries update. On original seventh-generation GTA V consoles, fitting side skirts incorrectly put a Kin Tsuna on the rear-view mirror; later releases removed it. The chrome-tip exhaust also reused the titanium-exhaust texture.
